I am always nervous about going to see a mechanic, because I do not know the first thing about cars and I am sure it shows. A friend of mine recommended that I go to Excell. He said they are honest and offer fair prices. He was right. I have been to them twice now. The first time, I had to get my transmission rebuilt - the consensus of more than one shop (second opinions are a must). Excell offered the best deal and did a great job. The second time I went to see them, a few years later, I heard the telltale noise of transmission trouble (or so I thought). It turned out only to be the plate in front of the catalytic converter. Excell removed the plate and checked my fluids. They said there was nothing wrong, and they didn't charge a cent. I cannot tell you how relieved I was. It wasn't long ago that I was almost swindled from another shop in Calgary. I strongly recommend Excell Transmission in Red Deer. They are great guys, they offer great service, and they are honest.
